These act as laboratory shapes expressing the idea of 'container'. Each work looks to exceed that which precedes it and contains a seed of what is to follow.

Mortars are the crystallisation of a transition which always wants to remain evident in the finished piece, I crush, mix and organise the various formal elements and materials that guide me in my work. An incarnation of 'a want to dig', deepen, as much with the real as with the figurative, mortars are up to now, because of their intermediate size, one of the most fertile products from my experiments, renewing step by step my questions when faced with the material.
